Course Objectives

Course Objectives
1To provide students with a solid foundation in the application of electromagnetic field theory to antenna analysis, enabling them to understand the physical principles of antennas and the basic concepts of radiation.
2To introduce various antenna structures (e.g., dipole, loop, monopole, Yagi-Uda, microstrip, horn, reflector antennas) and develop students’ ability to model and analyze the electromagnetic behavior of these structures mathematically.
3To equip students with the skills to accurately calculate antenna parameters such as gain, directivity, polarization, impedance, and efficiency, and to effectively use these parameters to evaluate antenna performance.
4To teach the fundamental principles of antenna arrays and aperture antennas, helping students to understand their design and analysis, as well as their significance and applications in advanced systems.
