Course Objective
The main aim of this course is to develop students’ oral communication skills in English by enabling them to engage in effective interaction, express their ideas clearly, and use appropriate language in various social, academic, and professional contexts. The course aims to foster fluency, accuracy, and self-confidence in spoken interaction and to improve skills such as turn-taking, topic development, pronunciation, stress, rhythm, and intonation through practice. In addition, students are encouraged to employ communication strategies that enhance intelligibility in both formal and everyday communication.
Brief Content of the Course
This course provides oral communication practice through interactive tasks such as dialogues, discussions, debates, role-plays, and presentations. The course emphasizes fluency, pronunciation, and the use of effective communication strategies. Students are exposed to both formal and everyday speaking contexts in order to develop their ability to use English more intelligibly, confidently, and appropriately.
