Course Objective
To teach students about the terms and concepts used in Cartography, Geographic Information Systems, Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, To provide a foundational framework for surveying engineering students to understand the concept of sustainability and the principles of sustainable development, and to enhance their skills in applying these principles. To equip them with knowledge about sustainable surveying engineering practices and future trends.
Brief Content of the Course
Definition of Geomatics Engineering, Engineering Surveying, Fundamentals of GPS,Mathematical Cartography temrs, Topographic Cartography terms, Photogrammetry Terms, Remote Sensing Terms, Definition and Significance of Sustainability and Sustainable Development Concepts, Integration of Social and Economic Sustainability Concepts into Surveying Engineering Projects, Sustainable Surveying Engineering Practices, Data Collection Techniques, and Analysis.
