Course Objective
To provide and develop current topics and methods for geodetic applications within the student’s area of interest and thesis.
Brief Content of the Course
Introduction, reference systems, establishment, maintenance and usage of fundamental national geodetic networks, relationship between jeoid and ellipsoid, 3D datum transformations, 2D datum transformations, evaluation of GPS measurements together with terrestial measurements, Determination of height with satellite techniques, Identification of velocity area for GPS Networks and estimations, Monitoring of crustal deformations with GPS, Integrated GIS/GPS, The concept of sustainability and the contribution of special topics of Geodesy to the sustainability and development.
