Course Objective
The aim of this course is to enable the student to identify the origins of the idea of utopia and to know its terms and development with special emphasis on English literary works.
Brief Content of the Course
In this course, the origins and development of utopian and dystopian literature are studied with reference to its place in English literature; representative texts are analysed within the context of the major principles of utopian and dystopian thought.
