Course Objective
Describing the phases of transmission of hadith, teaching ref lections of political, social cultural ev ents to the hadith transmissions, introducing teach properties and conditions of the basic hadith sources.
Brief Content of the Course
In the history of hadith part, the period spanning f rom the begining of the era of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to time of compilation of the basic hadith sources is discussed. The methods of hadith transmission, qualif ications of narrator in terms of narrators, v ariants of transmissions and ev aluations concerning narrators and transmissions are examined. Methods of detecting authenticity of hadith and other aspects are described.
