Course Objective
The purpose of this course is to introduce the literature on the usul al-fiqh to be used in conducting scientific research and to provide some information on how schools of usul al-fiqh handle the issues and use the concepts.
Brief Content of the Course
To introduce the classical usul works of the schools of thought, to understand the styles of the schools through selected texts, and to provide information on the relevant literature.

Ability to know the terminology related to the principles of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh usul)

Ability to read fiqh usul texts in Arabic

Ability to read fiqh usul texts from different schools of thought (madhhabs)

Knowledge of the topics discussed in the literature of fiqh usul and the ability to explain the nature of these topics

Ability to make comparisons between usul texts and analyze the approaches of these works
