Course Objective
This course aims to enable students to learn the basic concepts, principles, and application areas of special education, and to develop knowledge, awareness, and skills for educating individuals with special needs.
Brief Content of the Course
Definition, importance, and principles of special education; classification of individuals with special needs; inclusive/integration practices; legal regulations in special education; learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, giftedness, hearing and visual impairments, autism spectrum disorder; preparation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs); teaching methods and techniques in special education; collaboration with families and professionals; use of technology; ethical principles.
