Course Objective
The aim of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the theories of efficient utilization of natural resources and to discuss issues related to current practices of use of resource.
Brief Content of the Course
Natural reources introduction; Natural resources and economy; Public policies for natural resources; Measurement of the utility and cost of natural resources; Mining economics; Energy economics; Forest Economics; Water economics; Land economics; The economics of natural environment; Conservation of wildlife and biological diversity; Environmental economics; Natural resources and economic development, To teach the basis and constraints of the concept of sustainable development, the importance of environmental economics, the cost-benefit criterion, economy-based policies and the environmental impacts they may create, sectoral policies, evaluation of the benefits and costs of environmental resources and the methods applied.
