Course Objective
Understanding the mechanisms of large scaled deformations in the earth?s crust, to be able to determine the geometry of deformation structures and to reveal the relations between micro structures and macro structures.
Brief Content of the Course
Definition, purposes, method and the benefits, examination of tectonic texture, fold morphology, fold classification, fold mechanics, small structures and deformation in folds, microtectonic analysis of fractures, rock cleavage and their microtectonic features, microtectonic analysis of lineations.
