Course Objective
To identify minerals and elements learned in distinctive mineralogy lessons according to micro-analysis test methods. A brief review of optical methods, get to know the method of x-ray diffractometer, LOTR-Rohr method, flame test method, identify the methods of SEM and Microprobe, to know AAS method.

Microanalysis test methods, sample preparation, chemical substances used. Ag, Al, As, Au, B, Ba, Be, Bi, C, Calcite, Co., Borax, Cr, Fe, Hg, K, Li, Mg, Mn, Ni, Pb, S, Sb, Sn, Sr, Ti , Coal, Li, Zeolite, bitumen, bauxite, U, W, aragonite, Sulfate, Phosphate, Siderite, talc testing, flame testing, LOTR-Rohr test, X-Ray Diffractometer, SEM, Microprobe, the basic principles of AAS methods.
