1Knowing different definitions of politics and political science and relating them with each other.
2Recognising the traditional topics of politics in the context of history of political thought.
3Recognising the contemporary topics of politics.
4Evaluating the nature of power and state as an organisation
5Understanding the meaning of democracy and recognising the distinctive features of modern democracy.
6Understanding and explaining the relationships and differences between Power, Authority and Legitimacy.
7Understanding and explaining lthe relationships and differences between legality, lawfulness and legitimacy.
8Defining the Concept of Ideology and knowing main ideologies.
9Understanding and explaining national, local and global politics.
10Being able to establish a relationship between Politics and Economics.
11Being able to give meaning to the relationship between politics and culture
12Being able to be critical toward theories, ideas and approaches.
13Knowing concepts of political regime, government and state and their differences, being able to develop criteria for classifying political systems.
14International institutions established for global justice and peace will be explained.
