Course Objective
: To identify the basic principles and concepts of building physics, to gain environmental auditing conscious based on climate and energy, micro climate, building geometry, orientation, low level optimization for comfort of internal environment with design parameters as plan organization and building envelope, natural and artificial lighting measures, fire safety, noise and building acoustics, to select insulation materials, and to learn application methods.
Brief Content of the Course
: Basic principals and concepts of building physics; the understanding of environmental control based on climate and energy awareness; optimization of design parameters such as microclimate, building geometry, orientation, plan organization and building envelope to provide indoor environmental comfort with minimum use of energy; criteria of natural and artificial ligthing; fire safety; selection and application methods of acoustical and insulating materials.
