Course Objective
Developmental stages of early childhood education and developmental tasks.Characteristics of early childhood teacher, early childhood education institutions and personnel working in the institutions.Approaches and theories on the development and education of early childhood children.Early childhood education programs. General characteristics of early childhood children according to development areas. The role and participation of the family in the development of early childhood children.
Brief Content of the Course
The importance of early childhood, the basic characteristics and needs of the child in early childhood, the physical, social and educational environment characteristics of the pre-school education institution, the attitudes of parents in early childhood, the current situation of pre-school education in the world and in Turkey, transition and preparation for basic education in early childhood, adaptation problems.
