Course Objective
To inform students about work accidents and occupational diseases, and to ensure they grasp the application of first aid and safety measures.
Brief Content of the Course
Definition of occupational safety and worker health, its importance for employees and employers, management of worker health and occupational safety, the relationship of the occupational safety and employee health (protection) function with other human resource management functions, the social dimension of occupational health, mandatory health reports and documents to be kept at the workplace, physical and chemical factors causing occupational diseases at the workplace, health legislation according to the social security institution regulations, joint health units at the workplace, the effects of noise and vibration on health and preventative measures, preparation of workplace noise maps, dusts, gases, and their effects in the work environment, hygiene and cleanliness in the workplace for health, occupational hygiene in the food industry, energy and weight control, balanced nutrition, lifelong sports.
