Course Objective
The aim of this course is to provide students with the ability to investigate the distinctive character and social-cultural function of television as a meaning-production system and a mass media.
Brief Content of the Course
The distinctive character of television as a mass media, the historical development of what criticism is and its institutionalization, and how television studies conceptualizes the relationship between television and society.
