Course Objective
The aim of the Semiotics course is to provide students with the ability to analyze the symbol and meaning systems in film and media texts, and to enable them to analyze and evaluate the meanings and cultural codes underlying these texts.
Brief Content of the Course
Saussure's theories, signs, icons, symbols, text, graphic, connotation concepts, meaning-relational relation between the showing-shown relationship, indicative analysis.
