Course Objective
The aim of this course is to understand the importance of surface design in textile and fashion design, to learn its techniques, to develop a creative proposal based on the concept and to apply it.
Brief Content of the Course
Introduction of textile surfaces and techniques used in textile surface formation in general, simple embroidery works, texture work by hand or with a sewing machine, applique studies, needling felt technique, wet felt technique, surface studies with basic woven weaves, manipulated fabric designs, waste re-use within the scope of sustainability, portfolio presentation.
