Course Objective
The aim of this course is to introduce teacher candidates to the basic concepts and theoretical foundations of educational programs, the process of curriculum development, the main components of a curriculum, and approaches to program evaluation, thereby enabling them to design effective and contemporary educational programs.
Brief Content of the Course
Basic concepts related to curriculum and curriculum development; the process of curriculum development; curriculum design and theories; setting educational objectives; selection and organization of content; planning of the teaching-learning process; measurement and evaluation; evaluation of curricula; curriculum development practices in Turkey; analysis of instructional programs; and the roles of teachers in the curriculum development process.
